Tips to make the easy shrimp salad.

- Include or substitute different crunchy vegetables like shredded carrots, cucumber, avocado and chopped bell peppers, green chillies.
- I’ve used chopped celery, cane parsley, dill, coriander etc…
- Taste and season as per your need. you can also use a dash of red chilli powder, and paprika to add heat to the salad.
- Keep the shrimp salad chilled to retain the freshness of the seafood salad.
- Just before serving mix the salad.
- I would recommend serving the salad one hour after making it to keep the freshness of the flavour.

Ingredients to make the shrimp.
You will need 7 ingredients to make the shrimp salad. these are ingredients you can easily find in grocery stores or in your pantry.
500g of shrimp, fresh or frozen.
1/2 cup of chopped celery(1 stalk)
1 medium-sized chopped onions
1/4 cup chopped parsley(substitute with dill, coriander etc)
Making the creamy salad dressing
- 1/2 a cup of mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard
- 2 cloves of garlic minced well
- Salt and pepper to season
Optional ingredients
- Avocado
- Bell pepper
- Carrots
- Baby radish
- Cucumber
How to make the easy shrimp salad.
To make the shrimp salad, first prepare the shrimp and cook in boiled water for a few minutes.
Drain and set aside until you use them.
In a bowl, combine all the dressing ingredients and then add the preferred vegetables.
Add the cooked shrimp. combine well then garnish with a herb. refrigerate before serving the creamy salad.

- 500g of shrimp, fresh or frozen.
- 1/2 cup of chopped celery(1 stalk)
- 1 medium-sized chopped onions
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley(substitute with dill, coriander etc)

- 1/2 a cup of mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard
- 2 cloves of garlic minced well

Instructions
How to make the easy shrimp salad.
Before you make the shrimp clean and prepare them for cooking. if you using frozen shrimp, defrost and set aside to use.
Cooking the shrimp.
- Boil the shrimp in a pot of boiling water just until they turn pink.
- While the shrimp cooks, prepare an ice bath for the shrimp. once the shrimp is cooked, use a slotted spoon to transfer the shrimp to the ice bath.
- Once the shrimp is cooled, transfer them to a colander to drain excess water.
- Into a large bowl, stir in minced garlic. mayonnaise, dijon mustard, salt and pepper. whisk until you have a creamy dressing. taste and adjust the flavours as you need.
- Add the chopped celery, and onions and combine with the dressing. you can include other optional ingredients given above.
- Add the cooked and drained shrimp to the dressing mixture.
- Garnish with parsley or your preferred herb garnish and refrigerate for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
- For best flavours, serve immediately once refrigerated.
- If you use fresh shrimp, clean and set aside until cooking time
