Ingredients
500g of cleaned, deveined, shelled shrimp with tail on
1 and 1/2 cup of flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon red chilli powder(substitute with old bay seasoning, sweet paprika)
2 eggs beaten until frothy
2 cups of bread crumbs(I have used regular bread crumbs, you can use panko bread crumbs as a substitute)
2 cups of vegetable oil
Method.
Add flour(1 and 1/2 cup) to a deep flat container, season with salt(1 tsp), red chilli powder(1 tsp or substitute with old bay seasoning, sweet paprika).
Shake and combine the flour with the seasoning.
In a medium-sized bowl, beat eggs(2) and set close to the seasoned flour container.
Add breadcrumbs(2cups) into a medium-sized bowl, and set close to the beaten egg bowl.
Have an extra plate set to hold the floured and breaded shrimp.
How to prepare and bread the shrimp.
Since you will be coating the shrimp and this can be a little messy, you can always wear disposable gloves.
Make sure the shrimp are dry, add them to the seasoned flour, and coat them well on both sides.

Shake off any excess flour and then dip the shrimp in egg.

Transfer them to the bowl of bread crumbs.

Press each side so the shrimp is coated well with the breadcrumbs.
