How to make spicy garlic shrimp(prawns).
Ingredients
500g of prawns deveined, rinsed
1/4 cup lime juice
1/3 cup oil(used as needed
2 cloves of garlic minced
1 teaspoon of red chilli flakes
1/2 a teaspoon of red chilies powder
1 teaspoon of sugar
Method
Clean, devein shrimp and drain any excess water.
Using frozen shrimp to make spicy shrimp.
Remove the frozen shrimp from its packaging.
Place the frozen shrimps in a large strainer or colander.
Wash lightly under running water for a minute.
This will remove any ice crystals that have formed. Make sure all the shrimp have been separated.
Let the straining utensil remove all excess water.
Once the shrimps are ready to cook, season it with a pinch of salt and set aside.
Place a large frying pan over low-medium heat.
Pour in the oil and let it warm for a few seconds.
Add the shrimp into the pan and cook the shrimp until they turn pink(3-5 minutes).
Cook each side for 2 minutes. once this is done, transfer the to a separate bowl including any cooking juice left in the pan.

Rinse or wipe clean the same frying pan and place over low fire.
Pour in the oil, add the minced garlic to the oil, cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly brown, add in the red chili flakes.
Cook over low fire for 60 seconds and immediately add the tender pink shrimp into the pan including the cooking juices.

Gently toss the shrimp with the red chili garlic marinade. season with salt and sugar.
Add red chillie powder(1/4 tsp)and stir the chillie powder with the shrimp.

Taste and check for seasoning. serve warm.
